Orice serviciu are un preț și un risc pe care ți-l asumi. În domeniul închirierilor auto, pentru a responsabiliza clientul, companiile de rent a car impun blocarea unei garanții (depozit).
Garanția (depozitul) este o sumă de bani pe care compania o blochează de pe un card de credit pentru eventualele daune ale mașinii produse de client.
Există șansa de a pierde garanția (depozitul) dacă nu este vina noastră?
Da. Garanția se returnează dacă mașină s-a întors cu daune doar în situația în care clientul nu este vinovat de producerea unui accident și poate dovedi acest lucru prin documente constatoare, ulterior compania recuperând contravaloarea reparațiilor de la asiguratorul părții vinovate.
Dar dacă, spre exemplu, pe traseu mi se ciobeste/crapă parbrizul datorită unei pietre de pe carosabil, pierd garanția (depozitul)?
Da, pentru că nu putem obține vreun document prin care compania să își poată recupera contravaloarea inclouirii parbrizului.
Ce opțiuni avem?
Cele mai multe companii oferă posibilitatea de a opta pentru un serviciu de tip “CASCO”.
Ce presupune acest “CASCO”?
În cele mai multe situații, responsabilitatea financiară față de companie se reduce la 0. Cu alte cuvinte nu mai blocăm garanția (depozitul). Avantajul este că daunele mașinii sunt acoperite de această asigurare (inclusiv scenariul cazului cu parbrizul, descris mai sus), în anumite limite pe care compania le va menționa în contract. (Exemplu: asigurarea nu va acoperi situația în care clientul va consuma alcool, ulterior provocând un accident).
Așadar, cum ne protejăm banii?
Cel mai sigur mod de a îți proteja banii este de a opta pentru un astfel de serviciu. Deși are un cost aferent, în cazul în care mașina va suferi o daună, prețul asigurării va fi în 100% din situații mai mic decât suma blocată sub formă de garanție (depozit).
